Bitter rot

Honeycrisp, being a somewhat soft-fleshed fruit (despite it's name), is prone to pre- and post-harvest rots. Black rot, bitter rot, and white rot have all been found on Honeycrisp. The problem is worse during wet years. Summer fungicides and good pest control are necessary to keep the rots in check.
